This is a reference translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the Japanese text shall prevail.
Scope of Application
Article 1
- Accommodation contracts and related contracts concluded between this hotel and its guests shall be governed by the provisions of these Terms and Conditions; matters not stipulated herein shall be governed by laws and regulations or by generally established customs.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, when this hotel has agreed to a special arrangement to the extent that it does not contravene laws, regulations, or customs, such special arrangement shall take precedence.
Application for an Accommodation Contract
Article 2
- A person intending to apply for an accommodation contract with this hotel shall provide the hotel with the following information:
- Name of the guest
- Date of stay and estimated time of arrival
- Accommodation charges (in principle, based on the basic accommodation charge listed in Appended Table No. 1)
- Other matters deemed necessary by this hotel
- In the event that a guest, during their stay, requests to extend the stay beyond the date of stay set forth in item 2 of the preceding paragraph, this hotel shall treat such request as a new application for an accommodation contract made at the time the request is made.
Conclusion of the Accommodation Contract, etc.
Article 3
- An accommodation contract shall be deemed to have been concluded when this hotel has accepted the application referred to in the preceding article; provided, however, that this shall not apply where the hotel proves that it did not accept the application.
- When an accommodation contract has been concluded pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the guest shall pay, by the date designated by this hotel, an application deposit set by this hotel up to a limit of the basic accommodation charge for the period of stay (or for three days where the period exceeds three days).
- The application deposit shall first be applied to the total accommodation charges ultimately payable by the guest; where circumstances arise in which the provisions of Article 6 and Article 18 apply, it shall be applied first to the cancellation penalty and then to compensation, and any remaining balance shall be refunded at the time of payment of charges.
- If the guest fails to pay the application deposit referred to in paragraph 2 by the date designated by this hotel pursuant to the provisions of that paragraph, the accommodation contract shall cease to be effective; provided, however, that this applies only where the hotel has notified the guest to that effect when designating the due date for payment of the application deposit.
Special Arrangement Waiving Payment of the Application Deposit
Article 4
- Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 2 of the preceding article, this hotel may, after the conclusion of the contract, agree to a special arrangement that does not require payment of the application deposit referred to in that paragraph.
- In accepting an application for an accommodation contract, where this hotel has not requested payment of the application deposit referred to in paragraph 2 of the preceding article and has not designated a due date for its payment, the hotel shall be treated as having agreed to the special arrangement referred to in the preceding paragraph.

However, where this hotel has agreed to the special arrangement referred to in Article 4, paragraph 1, this applies only where the hotel, in agreeing to that special arrangement, has notified the guest of the obligation to pay a cancellation penalty in the event of cancellation of the accommodation contract.
